Upload, record, and update greetings and prompts used by your phone system.
Overview
System Recordings manages the greetings and prompts played by your phone system.
Manage Existing Recordings
Open Management > Phone Settings > System Recordings. The list lets you play existing recordings and edit their names, descriptions, and feature-code settings.
Upload a Recording
- Click the plus icon in the upper-right corner.
- Select the WAV file from your computer.
- Enter a name and an optional description.
- Enable a feature code if needed, then click Upload.
Record Through Your Phone
- Click the plus icon and select the option to record using your phone.
- Click Start Call and answer your phone.
- Wait for the tone, record your message, and press # to review it.
- Hang up when finished, enter the recording's name and description, and click Upload.
Update a Prompt with a Feature Code
When a recording has a feature code enabled, dial the provided code, record the replacement message, and save it. This updates that recording wherever it is used in your phone tree.
